The Tale Keeper

Life is one great story and our lives are the chapters in its book. We, who roam this earth, are naught but gods, ruling over the worlds we create through the use of literature and books.

I have always been a person to really take joy in appreciating life and all of its many joys. I have always loved a good story. Everything in the world, everything in existence, be it man, plant, animal, bug, planet, space or even atoms had its own story. Everything had its own tale to tell of how it came to be and how it ended up where it was currently at. Some stories were way more important than others. Some stories were more interesting than others but nonetheless, regardless of what the story was about, the one fact remained to be true. Everything in existence had its own story.

Realizing this fact was a bit startling for me at first. I couldn't quite grasp why such a simple fact that is nothing more than common knowledge, stirred me so deeply and was tugging at my strings of creativity. It was a simple fact that even the smallest of children knew and yet I was deeply inspired by it. The thought of everyone and everything having its own story to tell caused me question and research things like religion, god and just creativity in itself. If everything and everyone had it's own story to tell then what was the point of life and death if there was no one to hear these stories and appreciate them? If everything has its own story then what was God? Since "God" was the entity that supposedly created all life in the universe, then was it also the thing that hears everyone's and everything's story? I began to really question everything. There was a lot in life that I didn't understand but I did start to appreciate life more. I was deeply intrigued by the fact that everything has its own story. Before I knew it, inspiration hit me like a bag of bricks. My mind just didn't want to stop producing ideas for stories to tell.

So it was soon after that realization, that I created the idea of the Tale Keeper. I never did like the idea of having all of my stories and works scattered all across the internet on various sites. I wanted to have a permanent home for my work and stories. So that is when the idea of the website came into play. I decided to let the Tale Keeper be the poster child of my work and to let the official website be the home to my stories.

There were many times that the site almost never came into existence though. After the previous business I was working to achieve fell apart due to my partners losing interest in the original idea and dream we had, I became disheartened and depressed. I invested six  years worth of time, money, hard work, sleepless nights and dedication into trying to achieve the dream we all shared because I deeply believed in it. The fall of the business hit me especially hard (more than anyone else I was working with) because above anyone else, it was my dream and I've always wanted to achieve it since I was a child. I always wanted my own website that was home to my comic book stories. Then to see it all fall apart when all of our hard work was paying off especially when we were so close to accomplishing it; needless to say, it was a disappointment that shook me to the very core of my sou. For over a year, I was lost and didn't know what to do.

I felt as if I've lost a huge piece of myself. After some time, I steeled myself and decided to try again from square one. I wasn't going to let anyone take my dream away from me and besides I didn't have anything to lose except more time and more money. So I started over and through many sleepless nights and hard work, I once again stood at the plateau of my dream. The Tale Keeper website was officially born and through it I am finally able to share my works with the world. Through my hard work and perseverance, I finally accomplished my dream. I truly do hope everyone enjoys the site. Don't be afraid to share any questions or comments with me as I am continually working towards improving the site (in all aspects) and any feedback would be incredibly helpful and appreciated. Make sure to check back often because there are a lot of exciting things in store for the near future!!
